Blog #2 - Twitter

Twitter can be a useful feature in my future teaching practice as a way to connect with parents and guardians about what goes on in classrooms and schools. It is also very simple to use. Anyone, no matter their skill level of technology, is able to create and send a post!

I would not use Twitter as a tool in my classroom because of the age limit. In order to have a Twitter account, you must be at least 18+. Especially since there may be inappropriate/restricted posts. I would use this tool to send announcements, homework reminders, and showcase what the students have done during that day. I find that it's a great way to interact and connect with other educators for resources and advice as well.

  1. Maddie, I loved this blog! I think your point about not using Twitter to protect our students is huge. While it may be great for us as adults, we need to for sure be conscious of how dangerous online apps can be! I completely agree - I found your twitter posts to be so interesting and I loved the link you shared!
